Luis Arriaga, a photographer born in Mexico City. My work focuses on capturing the intensity of movement, the identity within faces, and the story behind every object or environment. I specialize in action, portrait, product, and documentary photography, combining technique, aesthetics, and emotion in every frame.
I’ve worked with brands like Vans and Hawkers Co., and collaborate with global agencies such as Adobe Stock, Getty Images, and iStock. I was the director of photography for the documentary “Juego es poder: CDMX”, which was screened in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Mexico City.
My work has been exhibited at the Museo Rufino Tamayo, the Frontón México (as part of Vans’ Vision Walk), Berlin Photoweek, and KTM Moto Hall. I’ve photographed international artists like Muse, J Balvin, and Billie Eilish, and covered major music festivals in Mexico with OCESA.
In Red Bull Illume, the most prestigious action and adventure photography contest in the world, I was selected as a global finalist in 2021 and a semifinalist in 2023. My images stood out among more than 40,000 entries for their storytelling and off-camera lighting approach, earning recognition among the top names in action photography worldwide.
I’m also a collaborator with Canon Creators, and for six years, I taught photography at Canon Academy Online, helping photographers across Latin America grow and refine their craft.
